Our pass and rental packages are the most cost-efficient way to get the most out of your day at Bike Glendhu! Packages are available online only and must be booked in advance (at least the day before) to seal the deal.
All rental bikes include a helmet. Other protective gear is optional.
We’re currently closed for winter. Prices shown are for the 2025/26 season and are subject to change for the 2026/27 season. Rental bookings available from August & re-opening October.

Best for: A parenting duo with young kids looking to split the child care duties.
Here’s how it works: One parent heads out for a ride while the other enjoys Bike Glendhu Base with the kids. Then, tag out and give the other half a turn on the bike. The pass allows for two adults to share a pass for the day without needing to buy two full trail passes. The catch? This is the ultimate test of sharing. You’ll only get one ticket, so only one person can ride at a time.

What’s the difference between a package and just renting a bike?
A package includes both a park pass and a rental bike, at a discounted combo price. If you already have a pass and just need a bike, you can also rent bikes separately on the Rentals page.
Are there packages available for kids or families?
While our standard packages are geared toward adults and teens, we offer youth-sized rental bikes and park access for ages 6 and up. Families can also check out our Family Pass options on the Passes page and build their own adventure with custom rental combos.
Can I buy a package as a gift?
Yes! To gift a package, simply add a Gift Card to your order for the same value as the package you’d like to give. In the message field, note that it’s for a specific package (e.g. “Pass & Pedal” or “4 Hours of Power”) and the recipient can redeem it online at their convenience. It’s an epic gift idea for any mountain biker visiting Wānaka!
How long are the packages valid for?
All standard packages are valid for a 4-hour ride window. If you’re keen to ride longer, full-day bookings (8 hours) are available on request – just get in touch with our team ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate, subject to bike availability.
Should I book my package in advance?
Yes, packages must be booked online at least the day before. Walk-ins are welcome for park passes and rental bikes as separate products, but our discounted packages are bookable online only.
Can I book a package with an e-bike?
Absolutely. Our packages give you the option to choose a Trek Rail 7 or 8 e-bike, a Trek EXe lightweight e-bike or an analog full-suspension mountain bike. Just select your preference when booking online. E-bikes are a great option for exploring more of the park in less time.
Do the packages include a mountain bike rental and trail access?
Yes! All packages include a Bike Glendhu park pass and a premium Trek rental bike (choose from full-suspension or e-bike options). Helmets are included, and you can add on extras like knee pads.
What packages are available at Bike Glendhu?
Our two most popular packages are Pass & Pedal and 4 Hours of Power:
- Pass & Pedal includes a day pass and a premium Trek full suspension rental bike, giving you everything you need for a half day of riding.
- 4 Hours of Power is a half-day e-bike package built for max laps and minimum faff—ideal if you’re short on time but want to cover serious ground. This package includes a day pass and premium Trek ebike rental.
Both are online-only and offer great value for first-timers, visitors, or anyone who wants a no-fuss way to hit the trails.
